How To Use

Apply a generous layer to clean, dry skin avoiding the eye area. Leave on for 10–15 minutes. Rinse thoroughly with warm water. Follow immediately with toner, serum, and moisturiser while skin is still slightly damp. Use 1–2 times per week. For an enhanced exfoliation result, use after Polish & Plump Face Peel — the pre-exfoliated skin will allow the mask's actives to penetrate more effectively. An excellent pre-event mask — apply the evening before for skin that looks noticeably more even and radiant.

Balancing Mask - everything you need to know before you buy.

What makes the Balancing Mask different from other clay masks?

Most clay masks strip and tighten — they remove oil effectively but leave the barrier compromised and the skin reactive. The Balancing Mask uses kaolin and bentonite clay for the same sebum and congestion control, but the formula is built around a peptide repair complex that actively supports collagen, repairs the barrier, and soothes inflammation simultaneously. Salicylic acid clears the pore lining. Niacinamide refines pores and evens tone. Centella asiatica and allantoin calm. The result is clearer, less congested skin that is also noticeably calmer and better-functioning after treatment — not tight, stripped, or sensitised. That distinction matters enormously for long-term skin health.

Is Balancing Mask suitable for sensitive skin?

It works across a wider range than clients expect. For oily and congested skin it's the primary recommendation. For combination skin — oily T-zone with normal or dry cheeks — I recommend applying it only to the congested zones rather than all over. For sensitive skin with congestion or breakouts, the centella asiatica and peptide repair complex make this significantly more suitable than most clay masks. I would not recommend it as a whole-face treatment for clients with active rosacea or very dry skin, but as a targeted spot treatment it can be used on most skin types.

How does it fit into my routine?

Apply once or twice weekly as a dedicated treatment step on clean, dry skin. Apply a generous layer to the face or targeted zones. Leave for 10–15 minutes — don't let it dry completely to the point of cracking, as that indicates it has started pulling moisture from the skin. Rinse thoroughly with warm water. Follow immediately with AquaBoost or Power Serum while skin is still slightly damp, then moisturiser. On mask nights, skip other exfoliating or acid treatments — one active treatment per session is sufficient.

When will I see results?

Immediately after the first use — reduced shine, refined-looking pores, and a clearer, more even complexion are typically visible right away. Existing breakouts respond within two to four applications as the salicylic acid clears the pore environment. Meaningful improvement in overall congestion, blackheads, and breakout frequency builds over four to six weeks of consistent once or twice weekly use as the pore environment is progressively normalised.

Can I use it if I'm pregnant or breastfeeding?

I recommend checking with your obstetrician first. The mask contains salicylic acid, which is generally used with caution during pregnancy, particularly in leave-on formulations. As a rinse-off mask with relatively brief contact time, the absorption is limited — but I'd still recommend getting clearance. Can I use it alongside the Resurface & Repair Peptide Pads?

Yes, but not on the same evening. The Resurface & Repair Pads and the Balancing Mask are both active treatment steps — combining them in a single session would be over-treating. My recommendation is to alternate: Peptide Pads on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday evenings; Balancing Mask on Tuesday or Thursday. This gives you consistent active treatment throughout the week while giving the skin adequate recovery time between different modalities.

How long does a jar last?

At one to two applications per week using a generous layer on the face, the jar lasts approximately three to four months.
